Thanks for your cooperation in this regard.--[[User:Cobalt327|Cobalt327]] 03:52, 20 March 2015 (MDT) ==Willys frame swap== has anyone swaped a willys jeep pickup to another frame and can tell me what works easy and looks close to origional ?? any info would be appreciated :What is it you are trying to accomplish? 2WD or 4WD, off road, or ? Doing a frame swap is a very labor intensive way to go about things, unless the original frame is totally unsuited for the application. An example would be if the Willys body was going to be drag or road raced or used in severe off road conditions, etc. In these cases the stock chassis wouldn't be anywhere near optimal. But if the vehicle will be used in much the same way as it was originally intended, sticking w/the original frame (with modifications/additions as needed) can be a better choice. :So if the frame has to go, start with determining what wheelbase it is now and look for a donor frame having a similar size. There are a couple pages in the Frame section on wheelbases, etc.--[[User:Cobalt327|Cobalt327]] 17:30, 7 November 2012 (MST)
