Editing 4l60e trans problems

1994 1500 chevy truck 5.7 liter when travel above 42 miles perhour torque converter locks in but ease off gas even say 55mph kicks in and out of overdrive about every 2 months it will stop working all together(overdrive)so dissconect battery and rest computer and it works again but still kicks in and out o/d. pretty sure its a 4l60e trans
