Editing Building a Ford straight-six engine

i have a 95 f-150 and i bought this truck when i was 17.  this truck has never failed me, and i just don't have the heart to move on.  i've decided that i would hop my truck up,  i know that this probably be a major undertaking, but i think this poor ol girl will be worth the effort.  i've looked at the motor pretty close and it not that far from diesel set up so i was guessing somebody has had to have this idea before.  any help would be appreciated.
