(Reuters) - A suburban Chicago Hyatt Regency Hotel was evacuated early on Sunday immediately after someone intentionally brought on a chlorine gas leak that despatched 19 individuals to the medical center with dizziness, nausea and other indicators, authorities explained.<br>Firefighters responded to a report of noxious odors on the 9th floor of the 12-tale lodge in Rosemont, Illinois, in close proximity to O'Hare Global Airport at about twelve:40 a.m., the Rosemont Community Protection Office reported in a prepared statement.<br>Technicians located the supply of the odor to be chlorine on a 9th floor stairwell that was unveiled in what appeared to be an intentional method, the assertion claimed. The incident remains below investigation.<br>Guests ended up evacuated from the 1,100-space resort to the close by convention centre as specialists decontaminated and ventilated the spot and carried out assessments. The resort was afterwards identified secure and individuals have been allowed back again in at about four:30 a.m. regional time.<br>The incident occurred as the hotel hosted a convention of Midwest FurFest, a group that honors and promotes animal people noticed in comics, television and movies.
