== Headline text == More than 472's and 500's anyone with an interest in old caddy engines? these engines are very simple and and have potential too. parts are plentiful, and accessories for performance and dress up can be found. With the new adaptors, tranny choices make installation easy. I have found these engines to be very quiet and smooth, in stock form. They look especially cool with the old signature valve covers. So anyone with knowledge about interchange of parts or speed secrets, please join in and share your expertise. yours truly, ancientiron How do you identify cadilac 425-472-500 engines by year and cubic inch without the car? Louis Queston I bought a 1973 coupe deville with a 472, which in your info says it has 220 hp. It was suppose to be a 1971 with 472, with 375 hp. What is are the changes that make the different hp?? Thank You JD <rsr_jd@yahoo.com>
