(Reuters) - A suburban Chicago Hyatt Regency Resort was evacuated early on Sunday after someone intentionally triggered a chlorine fuel leak that sent 19 folks to the hospital with dizziness, nausea and other symptoms, authorities reported.<br>Firefighters responded to a report of noxious odors on the ninth floor of the 12-tale hotel in Rosemont, Illinois, in close proximity to O'Hare Worldwide Airport at about 12:40 a.m., the Rosemont Community Protection Department claimed in a prepared statement.<br>Technicians observed the resource of the odor to be chlorine on a 9th floor stairwell that was introduced in what appeared to be an intentional method, the statement said. The incident continues to be under investigation.<br>Guests ended up evacuated from the 1,100-home resort to the nearby convention heart as professionals decontaminated and ventilated the location and conducted tests. The hotel was later on identified safe and sound and individuals were being permitted back in at about 4:30 a.m. local time.<br>The incident occurred as the hotel hosted a convention of Midwest FurFest, a group that honors and promotes animal figures found in comics, television and movies.
