Jon There seems to be an impasse as to whether "bell housing" (two words) is the preferred term, or if "bellhousing" is correct (pls. refer to [http://www.crankshaftcoalition.com/wiki/index.php?title=Crankshaft_Coalition_Wiki&action=history History]). In 'researching' this, I determined- by doing a simple Wikipedia search for 'transmission bellhousing' (3,320,000 results) and 'transmission bell housing' (1,100,000 results, both as of 02-09-12 @ 8 PM)- that 'bellhousing' as one word was the preferred term. Oddly, using just the term 'bellhousing' as opposed to 'bell housing' revealed much fewer results for 'bellhousing'- but the results for 'bell housing' also included (by the majority) results containing 'bellhousing'. In further looking into this, I found the following using 'bellhousing' exclusively: Summit Jegs McLeod Ford Racing GMPP Moroso J.W. Performance Transmission Lakewood Quick Time Reid Steeda TCI At this point I ended further searches. Previously I edited the text to how it was originally- text that included the single word 'bellhousing' that had been used by both members Neighbors and cobalt327 at separate edits/times. When I made my edit, I included the reasons for my edit in a "Comment" that is seen when viewed in the edit window. I would appreciate it if a determination would be made on the preferred terminology for bell/housing. Thanks--[[User:Cobalt327|Cobalt327]] 18:44, 9 February 2012 (MST)
