Jon, or anyone else who knows how: what is the procedure, if any, for making sub-categories. 

Also, I am wondering if it would be a good idea to make "Quadrajet" a sub-category under "Engine". Or even a sub-sub category: Engine --> Carburetors --> Quadrajet. All opinions and info welcome. --[[User:LT1Silverhawk|LT1Silverhawk]] 11:56, 15 February 2012 (MST)
:It's really simple -- just create the new "Carburetors" category as usual, then add <nowiki>[[Category:Engine]]</nowiki> at the bottom of the new Carburetors category page, just like placing an article in a category. More info here: [[Help:Categories]], and here too: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Category#Subcategories. You can do either Engine --> Quadrajet or Engine --> Carburetors --> Quadrajet, whatever you think is best. Since there's no final, "completed" state to any part of the wiki, you can feel free to tinker with the category structure as you see fit, and as the wiki develops.--[[User:Jon|Jon]] 12:07, 15 February 2012 (MST)

At least for now I've removed the sub subcategory ''Quadrajet carburetors'' from the subcategory ''Carburetors''. The reason was, I didn't even see it after going back into the Carburetors subcategory "cold", so my thoughts are no one else is likely to see it if I didn't.

::I know what you mean and I agree with your decision to do that. I remember following the bread crumbs a while back and, unless you knew it existed, you woudln't know to look for it. My opinion is that, at least for now, it is probably a good idea to keep all articles just under ''"Carburetors"'' category.
