{{develop1}} ==Preamble== It would seem that we are all in the same boat here, we are all looking for some part, some piece of automotive information, a different vehicle, a way of doing a particular procedure, etc. So why not put our collective minds together and start swapping web sites that each of us have found that was a help in some way to their project. If we can gather this knowledge into one place and share it, that would be ideal. ==Adding a link== In order to add a link: 1. Go to the web site that you wish to select. 2. Copy the address by highlighting it and pressing Ctrl plus C. 3. Return to this page 4. Select the appropriate heading you want the link under. 5. Place the cursor on a new clean line, and press Ctrl plus V to paste the link 6. Write a brief description, i.e installing a cam, and your done. ==To go to a link== 1. Place your cursor on the ''blue writing'' of the link and click to go there. ==ID/decoding== *[http://www.vanpeltsales.com/FH_web/flathead_serialnumbers.htm Early Ford serial numbers] ==Engine== *[http://www.btc-bci.com/~billben/flathead.htm Flathead engines] *[http://www.flatheadv8.org/bishop/porting1.htm Porting flatheads] ==Carburetors and intake manifolds== *[http://www.vintagecarburetiontech.com/ Vintage carb repair] *[http://www.bob2000.com/carb.htm Holley carb tuning and repair] ==Differential== [http://www.50chevy.freeservers.com/Suspension_Widths.html#REAR Rear end widths] *[http://www.ridgenet.net/~biesiade/Fordrears.html Id'ing Ford 8 and 9 bolt rear ends] *[http://www.hotrodworks.com/ Banjo rear end parts] *[http://www.fordification.com/rearends01.htmFord Rearend ID Tag Decoding (1963-2001)] ==Body== *[http://www.tcpglobal.com/autocolorlibrary/ Library of Auto Paint Colors, 125,000 chips] ==Chassis== *[http://www.gmupfitter.com/publicat/pdf/LD/LD_ST_Truck/LD_ST_Truck_pgs.pdf A complete directory of S-10 specifications and dimensions in pdf format] ==Suspension and steering== *[http://web.archive.org/web/20100201211201/http://www.racetec.cc/shope/ Billy Shope of Ramchargers on chassis set up and theory, etc. *[http://www.flatheadv8.org/rumblest/suspens.pdf Old Ford steering specs] *[http://dippy.org/svcman/sm02.html Torsion bar suspension and more] ==Electrical== *[http://www.novaresource.org/alternator.htm GM alternator conversion SI to CS] *[http://www.americanautowire.com/ Wiring and more] ==Tips/tricks== *[http://idisk.mac.com/forever4/Public/pages/studremoval.htm Stud removal] *[http://www.tocmp.com/ Old car manuals] *[http://www.reds-headers.com/html/engine_talk.html Flathead tech articles] *[http://www3.telus.net/blanchas/54pontiac/deruster.html Rust removal] *[http://home.earthlink.net/~bazillion/setup.html How to make springs] *[http://www.4secondsflat.com/Spark_plug_reading.html How to read spark plugs] *[http://www.hotrodscustomstuff.com/Tech%20Articles.html 1001 hot rod tech articles] Will keep you occupied for hours *[http://www.motorera.com/dictionary/index.htm Dictionary of Automotive terms] *[http://www.myvirtualnetwork.com/mklotz/ Software for designing and building] ==Exhaust== *[http://geocities.com/kustom1948/roadster7.html Zoomie baffles] ==Wheels== *[http://www.teufert.net/wheels/bolt-pat.htm Wheel bolt patterns] [[Category:Hotrodders.com]] [[Category:General hotrodding]]
