Garage doors fit into two very broad categories, commercial and residential. Most residential doors are identified as sectional doors. That is, when they go up, they separate into four separate sections to go around the curve in the tracks from vertical to horizontal. There are some residential doors that come in one solid piece and tilt up. Given that tilt up doors are one solid piece, they must tilt from vertical to horizontal when they are raised. Because they protrude out and away from the garage door opening when they are raised, they require more space in which to operate. Commercial doors may not be for garages at all, but attached to the walls of buildings akin to warehouses or the backs of retail stores. These are often roll up doors and they're typically adjoining loading docks. A roll up door has many sections, relying on its height and rolls up round a bar at the top of the door opening. That signifies that the track that the door operates in is totally different than that of a residential door. It has no horizontal portion of track. Check this out. The wonderful advances in know-how and the addition of quite a few types of garage doors makes them beautiful and very efficient. There are doors for double car garages, single automobile garages and if you want, you may have a garage door manufacturered to your specific need. One piece of equipment that really makes garage doors handy is the garage door operator. In spite of climate conditions or darkness, you can activate your garage door from the comfort and convenience of your home or car. You can also have a keyless entry system that will open your door by entering a PIN number. Try this. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vzQ1WHPdAE garage door springs]
