Hey C4 Blown Vette entusiasts- I am the original owner of a weekend warrior 40k mile, 1986.5 ho-hum rag-top, 7 speed - in need of serious updating. Since it's really not worth selling - I'm looking to replace the interior and give her fresh paint. I have a 17 yr old son - who I would like to do a project with ourselves and later (after some road experience and graduating college) give the car to him - in great shape. I have all standard equip with exception of sans catalytic converters, dual stainless exhaust with flowmasters and an intake air foil. Since newer cars blow her off the road, I'm looking to add a supercharger and have found little help/info for the early C4's. I have seen the superchargers that look like turbo's and others that mount on top the intake manifold that resemble similar blowers that look like the ones with carb(s) on top - found on dragsters. I would prefer the greater horsepower - but prefer the looks of top mounted units. Anyone add a supercharger/blower on an 86.5? (aluminum heads) Can anyone offer any constructive assistance or experiences. Thanks in advance for any help (and keeping wise cracks to yourself). PS When I bought mine - my father bought the same car for my brother (only auto trans) who was awarded a athletic scholarship - then lost it and my dad took the car back and is now selling it. Any suggestion on the best place to sell a very clean, original owner, 86.5, red ext/red int/ black top - adult driven - corporate maintained (fresh paint/top) garage kept, non-smoker, no pets - all original car? Thanks again for any assistance.
