Editing Epoxy primer vs. etching primer on bare metal

Im in the process of restoring a 67 Chevelle. I have it down to bare metal thanks to a Soda Blasting Job that was done at my home. Wow! There seems to be alot of opinions on Epoxy Primer VS Etching Primer on bare metal? Does anyone have a positive or negative experince on either? They both work equally well. However, if you plan on the car sitting a little while before moving on to the next step (ie. bodywork, primer surfacer and then paint) then the epoxy is a better choice. It has much better corrosion resistance, you can leave the car outside for months and it won't rust. The etch has no real corrosion resistance, is very thin and will rust through quickly if left in the weather. Typically you want to spray your primer surfacer over Etch within a few hours, and Epoxy you may have up to a week, depending on the brand. Either way both will need a good scuff before applying top coats. Etch will need to be scuffed and then reapplied before topcoating. Etch primer is not intended to go over body filler, however most do it anyway, and Epoxy is fine. For a bare metal restoration, considering the amount of time to completion, I think Epoxy overall is the better choice.
