Editing Nakheel Awards Dhs174m Contracts For Palm Jumeirah Projects

Dubai developer Nakheel has given contracts worth Dhs174 million for the construction of two new beach-front projects on Palm Jumeirah. Work on both jobs will start "shortly", the company said in a statement. The 10-storey Azure Residences complex comprises a parking lot, an infinity pool, nine restaurants, gym plus 170 apartments. Club Vista Mare functions 33 studio apartments, eight cafes / a gym, restaurants and retail amenities. Nakheel, among the worst hit during the property crash in Dubai in 2009, was taken over by the government under a $16 billion saving plan completed in 2011. The business has recovered since then and is booming in line with Dubai's total property market. The developer recently declared a 58 percent yearon-year leap in its nine month net profit. Nakheel also started three new projects throughout Cityscape this year, including a two projects and mixed use development in Deira - a boardwalk plus a complex on Palm Jumeirah.
