first I think you need try to find out if is really running hot......sensor placement, an IR scaner, getting cheeper everyday. check the upper and lower rad hose, see were the heat it is. always remember the thermostat determinds the minium system temp not the high end, things like flow obstrutions greatly influance, electric fans,water pump flow rate,shrouds. timing issues, such as worn dizzy parts.......new parts,old parts.....is the block full of rust in the lower cyclinder castings. there are many possibilties. to understand the cooling system helps to mind problems.
