When you think about it, multi level marketing has an acceptable and unacceptable feature all rolled into one. If you have spent any time learning about Mary Kay, then you probably already know what this good and bad thing might be. Simply put, it is the pyramid model that works with Mary Kay. You recruit people who sell product, they do the same and so on and so on. Money is paid to your people and so on until everyone gets a piece of the pie. Of course the idea never really works out that way. This is why you should learn all of the little details before you get sucked in. One of the biggest fibs that multi level marketers will tell when they want to recruit you for their down line is that the work can be done in your free time. If that really were true, the Mary Kay market would actually be exploding instead of dying. If the basic concept wasn't so messed up, then this might be a good way to make money. After all, you're supposed to hire other people to do the work so that you can earn money from their efforts. But, the problem is that most of the time spent is hiring other people and no one is really promoting products. Besides, if you want to earn a real living, it cannot be accomplished in your spare time. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to get the job done. One of the reasons that Mary Kay appeals to so many people is because it looks like it is a way to get plenty of cash without working for it. Yes, you will have to bring in other people and promote goods and services at the start. But, if you get decent people, you can let them recruit others that will make you money. Seems great, right? Quite simply, it takes hard work to get the right group of people working under you. You have to give them the proper guidance You have to choose people who will still stick around once they figure out how things really work. You have to give them some reasons to continue working with you. Any business worth having involves work. Do not lose sight of this. How many times have you seen a Mary Kay program advertising the simplicity of just selling some easy products to all your friends and family? More importantly, how many times have you seen the same old spiel about how thrilled those people will be to immediately join up to the program under you? You'll hear often about how your family and friends will all be instantly willing to sell the products available to their own circle of friends. In truth, asking people around you to sell Mary Kay products can be a guaranteed way to offend friends and family members. You might be lucky enough to sell one or two items and you may even recruit a couple of people, but the likelihood of you recruiting enough people who will continue selling those high-priced products so you can earn commissions from their work is extremely unrealistic. There are so many myths about multi level marketing on the internet. But, numerous people now know that Mary Kay is not a good business model and it should be avoided. But , some people still make the wrong decision and get into it anyway. Maybe the deal just looks irresistible. Or, they could be new to making money on the internet. Basically, you should still be knowledgeable about the untruths that are told about multi level marketing.
