Trainz Simulator 12 - Essential Features Trainz Simulator 12 allows you to work and build the railroad of your dreams all by yourself, or with your friends! Trainz Simulator 12 contains the most interesting new characteristic of any of the past versions of Trainz... Introducing Trainz Multi-player! Now train fans from worldwide can enjoy, operate and build railroads together. It's a great train simulator. You can't get very much nearer to driving a train unless you climb into an actual train cab. This is a great software for players of all levels of expertise. It's a fun online game with some great features. You can create your own stunning layouts or drive trains within the missions they may have. Both modes are well accomplished. Discover the realism, versatility, and capability you expect in the best train simulator on the market. With 8 new timeless and exotic routes available, including a brand new City Transit Railway with streetcars and a raised commuter rail. In depth routes occur in the modern period in Russia, Hungary, plus more! For other simulators, such as the TS 2014, you must pay another $20 for the Union Pacific Big Boy Steam Locomotive and pretty much almost everything extra needs to be purchased. Furthermore, some have reported that the images in the TS 2014 looks blocky and simply not worth it. Although, with the Trainz Simulator 12, the graphics look, without doubt, great as opposed to other simulators. There really is a great deal of content with the Simulator 12, that it is going to keep you really busy for some time before you may want to buy other things. There are so many locomotives and rolling stock, that it truly is fantastic that they give you all of this content. There is an alternative in free roam video camera mode that allows you to operate the train externally from the cab, so its like operating a model train set. Trainz Simulator 12 is the best for that if you would like to make your own personal routes or your own train layout! If you love model railroading, but don't have the bodily space in your house this is a wonderful substitute. The train sound effects are very realistic. The horns sound awesome, and the sound is better than the other simulators. For example, all the sqeals and clacks that the cars make when going down the tracks seem genuine. The sounds are far more realistic in comparison to the 2006 version. And in the TS 2014, the train sounds are nearly silent once you get away from the cab, compared to the realism of the Trainz Simulator 12. The realistic features of the Trainz Simulator 12 is also seen even in the rolling action from the cars - when you break cars lose in a yard, they'll keep on rolling to a slow stop. But that is not true for other simulators. The scenery and rolling stock are incredibly high definition detail, requiring a rather recent card to use with max configurations. The multi-player is very good, but single playing could be just as engaging. As with many video intensive games/simulators, very good graphics abilities are needed to see the best experience. You honestly need to have a really good personal computer, one that is up to date. The bad testimonials that this program has received can be resolved with more memory and hardware. The trouble that has been seen with stuttering views, is definitely a hardware issue. This game can run on low-end equipment, but expect side-effects, like stuttering of the images when moving around. And also this explains the invisible trains that has been an issue when starting. Which means you'll generally have to have a much higher-end system to acquire decent framerates. If you are operating an older video card or an built-in Intel chipset, you will have troubles. Upgrade to at least a GT240 or equivalent ATI card and you will be better off. Get a 400 series (440 ) if you wish to make an upgrade in the graphics. Also, the Processor plays an important role in this particular game also. If you have an older P4 or Pentium D, count on minor concerns. Installment goes efficiently and getting on-line to find a game is easy. I will just recommend buying the product and giving it a go on your own, although there is much more to say. The 240 page guide is a great aide, and will help you get the most out of this simulator. Therefore, it is much better to buy the CD rather than download, which will enable you to look back at the guidebook when operating the simulator. In conclusion, I do recommend this game if you are new to train simulators and have a personal computer that can work with it. You will have fun with this, but be advised that the lowest specs given are the BARE minimum, specifically in regards to the graphics handling unit. The game may run, however for the most enjoyable operation, your computer will need to be a higher-end system.
