==Spam filter bug==

The spam filter settings are preventing me from doing some edits and from creating templates. An example can be seen [http://www.crankshaftcoalition.com/wiki/File:SPAM_FILTER_REJECTION_OF_EDIT.jpg '''here'''], where I was trying to add the Template category to a template. I got the same thing when trying to create an "Attention" template, using the red exclamation point from the Warning template. That spam block is [File:Template spam block.jpg '''here'''].--[[User:Cobalt327|Cobalt327]] 18:14, 8 June 2012 (MDT)

:Spam filter is malfunctioning, again. First it wouldn't let me create templates using text that has already been used, as mentioned above (pre spam filter era, I'm guessing), and now it's decided it doesn't like formatting done to lists made using <nowiki><pre></pre></nowiki>. I found a way to format these lists to look a LOT more presentable than the usual dotted line border on a light gray background in that blockish default font. Using it changes this...

:...into a colored background w/a better font style/size/spacing than above. The text that triggers the spam filter can't be shown here- even bracketing the text inside 'ignore formatting' doesn't help, the filter still rejects it. I have tried removing/changing individual segments from the line that I thought might be triggering the filter, but in this case there seems to be no workaround. All I've been able to use successfully is <nowiki><style="border:none></nowiki> to get rid of the dotted line border.

:So, any chance the spam filter can be turned off or changed to work as it should?--[[User:Cobalt327|Cobalt327]] 20:50, 25 January 2013 (MST)

:I'm working on this. It looks like that text is tripping the spam regular expression filter. See [http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:$wgSpamRegex here] for more details.--[[User:Jon|Jon]] 11:55, 19 June 2012 (MDT)
