-Cruise-O-Matic transmissions have a few common issues, that can usually be sorted out easily. They will be broke up into cause and effect with a troubleshooting table

-Worn out shifter bushings  -  Sloppy shifter, can jump from park into reverse with no effect from shifter adjustment

-In the attached photo the yellow circle around the bolt is the location where a longer bolt is used on the filter.  About 3/8 inch longer bolt
