There are some basic things that should be done to store a car for a length of time. Some of these are listed below
 
  
1, Change the oil before storage
 
 
2, Keep tires off the ground if possible
 
 
3, Check anti-freeze for proper freeze protection.
 
 
4, Add fuel stabilizer
 
 
5, I like to put card board or newspaper under the car to highlight any leaks that may develop while in storage.
 
 
6, Clean and treat interior to prevent cracking.
 
 
7, Inspect entire vehicle for issues that may be able to be corrected during winter months.
 
 
8, If you are going to run your vehicle during the storage time be sure to bring it up to full operating temp and keep it there for a while  to eliminate internal condensation in the engine and oil.
