Classic Motor Carriages's fraudulent activity was first brought to light by Stuart Rado, a consumer activist. In an attempt to silence Rado, Classic Motor Carriages used the courts to intimidate Rado, and forced him to live "day-to-day with a barrage of pleadings, depositions, and other legal maneuvers of GGL", even though Rado was dying of brain cancer. One of [[Media:Streetbeasts_allocution_motion.pdf|the court motions]] stated: "What is even more despicable is that GGL knew that Rado was dying of cancer but continued to pursue him with motions and notices of trial and other pleadings, one such notice of hearing being served within days of brain surgery."
