==Introduction==

This is a simple to do lighting modification for the 1960-'66 Chevrolet trucks. It allows the amber hood marker lamps to be on when the headlights are on. It adds a little character and distinction, and possibly adds a measure of safety.

==Procedure==

*Remove the headlight switch.

*Remove the '''purple''' wire from the plastic plug. This is terminal #7. The purple wire runs to the low side of the 1157 bulbs in the hood marker lamps. The wire terminal has a small tab that locks it into the plastic plug. Depress this tab to remove the wire and terminal as a unit.

*The switch is marked with numbers beside each terminal. There is an unused terminal on the switch and a provision for it in that same plastic plug. This is terminal #3.

*Slide the purple into this terminal #3 spot making sure it clicks into place. This will enable the hood amber markers to be on at the same time the headlights are on. They will also function properly when the turn signals are used.
