1985 chevy camaro factory tachometer , when running tac goes to 7000 rpm at idle . wiring looks to be correct. customer is running a super coil, will this effect the signal for the tach. If so is there a solution to fix this issue.

:I believe the problem ''may'' revolve around the factory installed electrical choke used in the tach circuit. In the meantime the tach wire should be connected to the coil "-" (negative) terminal.
