The wheel is of course off the ground, Tighten until a drag is felt while rotating the tire (wheel)Then back 5 clicks, remember the whole works expand with heat SO DON"T OVER TIGHTEN! you'll get 2 gallons a mile, and your new tires will last a day!(assuming you stop in one direction and don't fling sideways into the Concrete barrior!)Seriously, Drive a couple block and EASY 1st time try brakes, easy pedal easy "fling to side", if not even. If they feel evenly applied, brake roughly for a short bit then get out and Smell, look,&feel, Slowly with back of hand, If they are too tight, you will feel the heet without touching the metal!!!!!! Warm, Even real warm is normal. if warm and straight stop, you are golden! If you are a bit anal, (why not its your hot rod!) Jack front again, a good hand spin should carry tire 3 rotations then stop. Perfect not too tight while hot , not too loose to stop, and you are still the one that steers!The power assist oversized drums on my 68 GTO are remarkable when setup!They feel great and never squeal or get friction dust all over the chrome Cragar S/S wheels, ( a 68 has to have Cragar S/S) right?
