alternative ideas...
 +
*space the 2x4s for fiberglass insulation, and use that rather than foam.
 +
*use anything (even tack old paint sticks, lattice...) on the inside to prevent insulation from falling into compressor area.
 +
*use plywood on the exterior (maybe even interior) of the structure, and then if need be add pegboard to hang tools from.  This will increase sound deadening even more.
 +
*BE SURE TO HAVE ADEQUATE VENTILATION FOR COOLING MOTOR AND COMPRESSOR- unless you don't care how long it lasts.  You could also 'oversize' the structure so there is adequate airspace within to keep the compressor cooled for intermittent use.  For more steady use, I'd suggest opening the door, which you can face away from the work area to help keep things a bit quieter in the shop.
