There’s a misconception among a few that the names listed on a page’s “By” line represents the original author of a page. This is not always the case. An example is, if an article is deleted from a section then replaced into a new section, the name of who resubmitted it will be the only name shown. Also if so much as a period is added to a page, the person who added the period will now be listed on the “By” line, just as if they had originated the page.
