"We are delighted at the support Chubb has shown us and are exceptionally grateful for their generous and timeous donation. Not only have we been able to secure our existing building but also the newly completed renovation, a store room that was transformed into a second kitchen.  In addition, the added security patrols by the Chubb response vehicles will be a definite deterrent to would-be criminals," said Joyce Gunkel.

"Hopefully now we will not be seen as a soft target to criminals and we will be able to continue with the essential service we offer the community," continued Gunkel.

"Feeding so many of our homeless and destitute citizens goes a long way to keeping petty crime at bay.  We have found many of the petty crimes perpetuated are only as a result of hungry people resorting to drastic measures to feed themselves and their families," said Aves.
